Poll voilence in Kerala - CPI(M) leader hacked to death
Suspected Muslim League workers hacked to death a prominent CPI(M) leader and chairman of the local municipality, K P Valsalan, near Chavakkad, on Sunday in the first political killing in the run-up to this years’ Assembly poll.
Police said there were indications that the killing was in connection with a local CPI(M)-Muslim League strife a few days ago, after poll posters and banners put up by the League were found to have been torn down.
