Salman Khan, one the top actor and celebrity of Indian cinema and bollywood, gets 5 year prison term and fine of 25K for shooting rare chinkara. Chief Judicial Magistrate Brijendra Kumar Jain gave a hint that it was a harsh punishment by saying that he wants to set an example.
Testimony of the driver of Maruti Gypsy, Harish Dulani, nailed the actor though in his T.V interview he claims to have given the statement under pressure from forest department officials and he actually didn't see Salman killing any animal.
Is the verdict too harsh and does not commensurate with the offence? Is Salman paying prize for his fame ! Would the punishment have been any less if he was just a common criminal?
Do you call this justice or is Salman Khan being targeted because he belongs to minority community in India.

I think the judge did the right thing. actors are role models and they should set an example. Others will definately learn a lesson or two from this judgement.
And salman is not all that "dhood ka dhula" either. so no need to feel sorry !
guys the punishment is very harsh, accept it.
This is shit against the great actor
I believe that the court took the decision according to the book, but while other gets 3-4 months of punishment he got 5 year.

For the past many years SALMAN KHAN has been the media’s pet subject. Rather than writing about his professional life the media has always projected his personal life and too in a bad shape. Film glossies made a killing by publishing events from his personal life. This is because SALMAN cared a damn about media and never went to the press nor he denied anything in print. But the people close to SALMAN very well know that all of what is being written about him is humbug. All that was highlighted were his flings and his voilent streaks but his other side like his association with Tata Memorial Hospital for providing relief to Cancer patients and children suffering from Thalassemia were never mentioned. However, all this does not wipe out any misdeeds he has done, but to use him as an example and punishing him for sake of showing unpartiality is unjust and harsh. We have seen people going scot free after killing humans !!
The law should take its own course, but the people should’nt get carried away considering SALMAN’S star status because SALMAN too is a human being.
